6 quirky facts !?!

Hello Everyone,

I have just been tagged by my sister Natalie (Summer by the sea) and I have to tell you 6 quirky facts about myself, it's taking some thinking but here I go:

1. I am an identical twin to my sister Melanie and we still sometimes know what each other are thinking without actually saying something.

2. I once worked as a hotel receptionist and had to climb out onto a window ledge to retrieve a bunch of roses for a hotel guest. The couple had had a fight and the wife (I think!) had thrown them out. I didn't even get a tip !

3. I have never not got a job I was interviewed for, which has been quite alot (out of choice). I am on my eighth job now and I have no regrets. I've met a variety of people, picked up a variety of skills and had fun along the way. Think im settled now though...finally!

4. I've always had a dream of owning my own shop, selling handmade goods and decorative home items.

5. I'm secretly (not any more!) writing a book, it's supposed to be quite funny, quirky but yet it has it's serious points and dark side too.

6. I have not slept through for a whole night for at least 4yrs. I have always had problems sleeping and wake up regularly from very strange dreams. I have also slept walked, twice into other people's beds (I was asleep!), and once I woke up cowering down the side of my bed....id dreamed someone had broken in. I have also tried cooking in my sleep and woke the next morning to the cooker hob being on!

crafty little hearts

Hello,

I've finally got round to popping another post on here. I've been very busy painting my house and wallpapering my bedroom. It was the first time I've attempted wallpapering but with the close direction from my mum, I managed it. Im really pleased with the outcome.

I've also been trying my hand at a few more projects, firstly some fabric fruit which i've shown below. Hopefully ill get a little better with pratice!

Craft Projects

I've decided to post some pictures of some crafts I've been working on, these were my first attempts but Im hoping that practice makes perfect.

This first one is a dressing table I bought from ebay for £16. I have since scraped it right down with mitromaus and sandpaper and painted it white. It is great to have somewhere to sit in the morning to do my make-up and get ready.

I'm Back

Hi

Well i've just returned from spending two days with my sister and her family in Filey (Summerbythesea) and had a really lovely time. We walked on the beach, ate out, played with the children and generally had a great time catching up. I've posted a picture of them all on the beach for you to see.

Ill be adding some photo's of some recent craft projects soon so you'll have to let me know what you think, just remember, I'm still learning !

First Project

Hi

Well it's taken me some time to post my first proper blog but ill try to keep up to date from now on. Well im off to see my sister Natalie (summer by the sea) on Wednesday and can't wait.

Since starting this blog I have started crafting and so far have made some hearts on ribbon which now hang from my dressing table mirror.

I have also made (with only some success) a toy cat and i have posted a picture to show you.

It was my first real project but im going to try for a dog next time. I've also made a pear and have 3 strawberry's to sew too.

My name is Tracy and I'm 28 years old (creeping ever so closer to the big '30')! I live in a small village in South Yorkshire. I own a small mid terrace house which I'm currently 'doing up' from top to bottom. I enjoy spending time making craft items and have also recently found a hobby of glass painting.

Ill be posting photo's and information on my creations and if you have any craft ideas to share I'd love to hear from you.
